About the Service

NkwaPlus is designed for diabetic and hypertensive patients who are 18 years and above, have been recommended by their treating physician, and have a compatible smartphone (Android 5.0+ or iOS 12+).
Patients can share their vital signs from the comfort of their home using a smartphone. Healthcare providers receive this information in real time through a web interface, allowing for virtual consultations and remote monitoring.

Getting Started

You must be recommended by your treating physician for hypertensive or diabetic care. Visit any participating healthcare facility to get onboarded and receive instructions for downloading the app.
You will need to share your name, phone number, and email address with your doctor. You will also be required to sign a consent form at the participating healthcare facility.
You need a smartphone with Android software version 5.0 and above, or iOS version 12 and above.
After being onboarded by your doctor, you will receive an email with instructions to download the NkwaPlus app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

Using NkwaPlus

The NkwaPlus app will prompt you on when to take measurements. You can do this from home and securely send the readings to your doctor via the app.
Yes, the NkwaPlus app will send timely reminders for taking measurements, contacting your doctor, or going to the nearest hospital if needed.
Yes, if necessary, a member from the medical team will call you directly at the comfort of your own home for additional support.
